The addon pulls inventory from Panda Profit, lets you configure your Whatnot listing information, processes product images, and generates a Whatnot-ready CSV file for bulk import.
Who is the Whatnot Addon for?
The addon is designed for resellers who use Panda Profit and sell inventory on Whatnot.

Do I need Panda Profit to use the Whatnot Addon?

Does the Whatnot Addon require a separate license?
No. There is no separate license required for the Whatnot Addon.

Does Panda Profit need to be running?
No. Panda Profit does not need to remain open while you use the Whatnot Addon. It only needs to be installed and properly configured on the computer.
Using the Addon
How does the basic workflow work?
The typical workflow is:
- Load your Panda Profit inventory.
- Select the items you want to prepare for Whatnot.
- Configure the required Whatnot listing information.
- Add or assign product images.
- Review your listings.
- Export the selected items to CSV.
- Upload the completed CSV using Whatnot’s bulk import system.
Can I choose which Panda Profit items to export?
Yes. You can select individual items instead of exporting your entire inventory.
You can also use search and filtering tools to make larger inventories easier to manage.
Can I configure multiple items at once?
Yes. Bulk configuration tools allow you to apply common settings to multiple selected items, reducing repetitive data entry when preparing larger batches.
What information can I configure?
Depending on the Whatnot category and listing type, you can configure information such as:
- Category and subcategory
- Listing type
- Condition
- Price
- Shipping profile
- Quantity
- Images
- Other information required by the Whatnot CSV template
Does the addon automatically determine everything for me?
The addon automates much of the conversion and CSV-building process, but you are still responsible for reviewing your listings before uploading them to Whatnot.
Categories, conditions, prices, shipping information, and other listing details should always be reviewed for accuracy.
Images
Can I add product images?
Yes. You can assign up to 8 images per item, including a main image and additional product images.
What image formats are supported?
The addon can work with common image formats including:
- JPG / JPEG
- PNG
- GIF
- BMP
Images are converted to JPG when necessary for the export and upload process.
What happens to transparent PNG images?
Because JPG does not support transparency, transparent areas are converted to a solid background during conversion.
Can I add images to multiple items?
Yes. The addon includes tools for working with images in bulk, making it easier to prepare larger batches of inventory.
Does the addon edit my original images?
No. Image processing for the Whatnot export does not replace your original product image files.
You should always keep your original images stored on your computer or normal storage location.
Image Hosting
Why do my images need to be hosted?
The Whatnot CSV uses image URLs to retrieve product images during the bulk import process.
The addon can upload the images and place the resulting URLs into the appropriate CSV fields automatically.
What image-hosting options are available?
The addon supports configured image-hosting methods such as FTP and supported third-party image hosting.
Available options may change as the application is updated.
Can I use my own web server?
Yes. If you have access to an FTP-enabled web server, you can configure the addon to upload listing images to your server.
You will need the FTP information provided by your hosting company, including:
- Server address
- Username
- Password
- Upload path
How do I know if my FTP settings are correct?
The Settings page includes a connection test so you can verify your FTP configuration before exporting inventory.
CSV Export
What does the addon export?
The addon creates a CSV formatted for Whatnot’s bulk listing import system.
Depending on the listing, the CSV can contain information such as:
- Category
- Subcategory
- Title
- Description
- Quantity
- Listing type
- Price
- Shipping profile
- Condition
- Cost
- SKU
- Image URLs
Can I open the CSV before uploading it?
Yes. You can review the generated CSV before importing it into Whatnot.
We recommend reviewing your export before every upload.
Can the CSV be used with eBay, Etsy, or other marketplaces?
No. The export is specifically formatted for Whatnot.
Other marketplaces use different listing formats and requirements.
How long does an export take?
Export time depends primarily on:
- Number of products
- Number and size of images
- Internet upload speed
- Selected image-hosting method
Exports without images can complete very quickly, while large image batches will take longer.
What happens if an image fails to upload?
The addon identifies failed uploads so you can correct the issue and retry.
Panda Profit Integration
Does the addon change my Panda Profit inventory?
No. The addon reads the information it needs from Panda Profit without modifying your original Panda Profit inventory.
What happens if I change an item in Panda Profit?
Use Refresh Inventory in the Whatnot Addon to reload the latest information from Panda Profit.
Can Panda Profit and the Whatnot Addon be open at the same time?
Yes. Both applications can be used at the same time.
Installation & Requirements
What operating systems are supported?
The Panda Profit Whatnot Addon is currently designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Do I need to install Python or any programming software?
No. The standard installer includes what is needed to run the application.
Do I need an internet connection?
Some parts of the application can be used offline, but an internet connection is required for functions such as uploading images and working with online services.
Can I install the Whatnot Addon without Panda Profit?
You can install the application, but Panda Profit must be installed for the addon to function.
The Whatnot Addon is not a standalone product.
Troubleshooting
The addon can’t find Panda Profit. What should I do?
Make sure:
- Panda Profit is installed on the same computer.
- Panda Profit has been opened and configured.
- You are running both applications under the same Windows user account.
Restart the Whatnot Addon after checking these items.
My FTP upload isn’t working. What should I check?
Verify:
- FTP server address
- Username and password
- Upload path
- Internet connection
- Available storage on your hosting account
You can also use the Test Connection option in Settings.
My CSV is missing information. What should I check?
Before exporting:
- Refresh your Panda Profit inventory.
- Make sure the correct items are selected.
- Review required Whatnot fields.
- Verify categories and conditions.
- Confirm image uploads completed successfully.
Then generate the CSV again.
Can I cancel an export?
Yes. An export in progress can be canceled from within the application.
Can I generate the CSV again?
Yes. If a CSV is deleted or you need to make changes, simply select your items and export them again.
Settings & Data
Does the addon save my settings?
Yes. Application settings and configuration information are stored locally so you don’t have to configure everything each time you open the addon.
Where is my information stored?
Application settings are stored locally on your computer.
Does the addon upload my Panda Profit database?
No. The addon accesses the Panda Profit information it needs locally.
Image files are uploaded only when required by the image-hosting method you configure.
Updates
Does the addon receive updates?
Yes. Updates may include bug fixes, compatibility improvements, support for Whatnot changes, and new features.
You can use Settings → Check for Updates to check for available versions.
Will the addon always match Whatnot’s current CSV format?
Whatnot can change its categories, required fields, CSV templates, and import requirements.
